FUNERAL SERVICES: 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. BURIAL: Zion Hill Cemetery in Comanche County. VISITATION: 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. LUNCH: Family will have Lunch at East Side Baptist Church at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday. Gladys Pauline “Polly” Hill, age 95, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2012, at Comanche County Medical Center, Comanche County, Texas. She was born on May 14, 1917, in Comanche County to Thomas and Ellen Zeleca (Cottrell) Johnston. For fourteen years she worked for Riverside Unified School District in Riverside, California. Polly was a sweet and loving person, beloved by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her many friends said she always had a smile on her face. She was happiest in her garden tending to her beautiful flowers and plants. She was a member of East Side Baptist Church in Comanche. Polly will be forever loved and missed. She is survived by son, Paul Hill and wife Peggy of Hemet, California; son, Jerry Hill and wife, Donna of Double Oak, Texas; daughter, Judy Hill of Comanche, Texas; grandsons, Douglas Hill, and Lonnie Hill and wife Laurie; granddaughters, Paula Magni and Lorrie Lowe; great-grandchildren, Joshua Adams, Austin Hill, and Ashley Adams; sister, Martha Frances Keith of Morgan Mill, Texas; and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Henry and Ellen Zeleca (Cottrell) Johnston; husband, Aubrey Marion “Pete” Hill; brothers, Henry Johnston, Gene Johnston, Chester Johnston, Adolph Johnston, and Thomas Johnston; and sisters, Irene Power and Beatrice Helm.
