GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 1:30 P.M. Saturday, January 28, 2012. BURIAL: Sardis Cemetery in Comanche County, Texas. VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Saturday morning from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon. Glynith McSmith, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, in Marble Falls, Texas. She was born on April 19, 1921 in Comanche County, Texas, to Claude and Bura (Butler) Harris. On June 14, 1975, she was united in marriage to Newman McSmith in Round Rock. He preceded her in death on May 31, 2011. Glynith was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. During her working years she was an office manager for a credit union. She is survived by her sons, Jerry Don Fergurson and wife, Judy, of Pinehurst, North Carolina, and Jim Fergurson of Pflugerville; her daughter, Linda Freitag and husband, Fred, of Burnet; her stepson Gaylon McSmith and wife, Pam, of Pasadena, California; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith Brinson and Ona McCullough; and one brother, Otis Harris.
