The Comanche Texas native was a daughter of the late Claude Boatman and Lucy Brewer Boatman and was preceded in death by her husband, Waymond P. Hughes and son-in-law, Ralph W. Gilliam. She was a former employee of the State Movie Theater in Bowling Green, Kentucky retiring after 25 years, and was a Baptist. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Joyce Gilliam of Bowling Green, Kentucky; one son, Stanton W. Hughes and daughter-in-law, Nellie Hughes of Belleville, Illinois; four grandchildren, Shelly Gilliam, Audra Hahn, Lori Curtis, Sarah Wallace; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
