FUNERAL SERVICES: 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. VISITATION AND ROSARY: 6:00 P.M. Saturday evening at Comanche Funeral Home. LUNCH: Sacred Hearth Catholic Church following the funeral services. Guadalupe Garcia, 86, of Comanche, Texas, passed away March 31, 2010 at his home. Guadalupe Garcia, the son of Pedro and Encarnación Garcia was born January 13, 1924 in Goliad, Texas. He married Rafaela Galvan from Bishop, Texas on February 23, 1948 in Harlingen, Texas. They recently celebrated 62 years of marriage. Mr. Guadalupe Garcia was a dedicated member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church for 46 years. His involvement included Parish Council, Men’s Club, Eucharistic Minister, fundraising, cleaning the church, ushering and many other activities. Mr. Guadalupe Garcia is survived by his wife, Rafaela Garcia, five daughters and four sons, Angie Garcia of Garland, Texas, Maria Mendoza (husband Jose) Comanche, Texas, Margarita Soto (husband Andres) of Dalton, Georgia, Eleanor Garcia of Garland, Texas, Jose Garcia of Grand Prairie, Texas, Lucy Rodriguez (husband Arturo) of Fort Worth, Texas, Estevan Garcia (wife Pam) of Sanger, Texas, Jorge Garcia of Comanche, Texas and Eddie Garcia (wife Luisa) of Denton, Texas; one brother and two sisters, Antonio Garcia and Jesusa Lopez, both of Comanche, Texas and Margarita Dominquez from Kingsville, Texas; and 30 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 5 great great-grandchildren and numerous friends and family. Mr. Garcia was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Encaración Garcia; a son, Jose Luis Garcia; a grandson, Lorenzo Lopez, a granddaughter, Analyssia Garcia; and a great-granddaughter, Miranda Herrera. All his life he showed that he loved his family. He willingly and lovingly upheld his responsibilities as a husband, father, and friend. He will be greatly missed and will always be in our hearts.
