VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. LUNCH: Family will be served a private lunch at Beattie Community Center at 11:00 A.M. on Friday. Gwendolyn Jan Wright, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, in Comanche, Texas. She was born on November 22, 1933, Comanche County, Texas, to Homer “Red” and Oran (Graham) Shelton. On June 6, 1953 she was united in marriage to J. W. Wright in Comanche. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1993. For many years “Jan” owned and operated Jan’s Beauty Shop in Rising Star and later in Comanche. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Rising Star Church of Christ. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Kay Claborn and husband Don Jay of Rising Star, and Lu Ann Croker of Comanche; granddaughter Maci Jackson and husband Michael of Liberty Hill; grandson Lance Claborn and wife Lauren of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; granddaughter Katelin Croker of Comanche; great-grandson Jaydon Jackson of Liberty Hill.
