Harold Dean Adcock departed for his heavenly home on Sunday, November 19, 2023, after a short illness. He was born in Dublin, Texas on July 20, 1938, to Arthur (HOT) and Lucille (Cox) Adcock. Harold was married to the love of his life, Laura (Hilliard) Adcock on February 7, 1964, and shared that joy for just shy of sixty years. Harold graduated from Gustine High School 1956 and served in the U.S. Army with the Second Armored Division (Hell on Wheels) from July 1961 to July 1963. Harold had a great love of his fellow man and had a joy of giving. Laura supported Harold with his first goal in life, to attend the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science, where he graduated with his Funeral Director and Embalmers License, and in 2016, he was awarded a fifty-year honor for his service. Harold was a founding member of the Comanche County Healthcare Foundation, which annually raised money of support for the Comanche County Medical Center. This year, Harold realized his second goal in life, being a part of the organization to raise one million dollars in support. Harold believed in service to his community by also serving as a member of the Comanche Volunteer Fire Department and was a life-long member of the Dirty Old Men’s Club.
Harold is survived by his spouse, Laura (Hilliard) Adcock, son – Rocky Adcock (Natrell), daughter – Rhonda Hatley (Roy), son – Kelly Adcock (Deb), daughter – Laura (Michelle) Stalnacker (Shane), Sister – Sue Haile, Sister-in-Law – Barbara Jones, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, four nieces, one nephew, pals Maverick and Tigger, and many other family and friends.
