Harold May, age 85, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022, in Comanche, Texas.
Harold was born on August 22, 1936, to Preston and Fay (Berna) May. On May 27, 1955, he was united in marriage to Charlene Matthews. She preceded him in death on March 28, 2014. Harold moved to Odessa in 1955 and went to work for Pioneer Natural Gas. After 14 years, he went into work for himself as a metal building contractor where he built large and small buildings all over the state of Texas and Oklahoma. Being the strong Christian man he was, Harold donated his time and resources to numerous churches in west and central Texas.
He is survived by his three daughters, Sherry Sims and husband, Terry, of McKinney, Texas, Carolyn Phifer and husband, David, of Comanche, Texas, and Cindy Stout and husband, Johnny, of Pinson, Tennessee; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Preston and Fay (Berna) May; daughter, Debra Delmasso and husband, Randy; and granddaughter, Lauren Lawrence.
