Harry Smith

Harry Dale Smith, age 60, of Comanche, Texas passed away July 5, 2024 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Harry was born December 26, 1963 in Gorman, Texas to Kenneth and Linda McDonald Smith. Harry attended Comanche High School where he excelled in football and the show ring, he was a graduate of the class of 1982. After graduation he attended Texas State Technical Institute in Waco and received a certificate in meat processing and marketing. Harry then worked as a butcher for several years in local grocery stores. He spent many deer seasons hunting and then processing the meat for his family and friends. During Brody and Courtney's school years he raised show pigs, leading Brody and Courtney to have many successful days in the show ring. Harry enjoyed spending time tending to his cattle, hunting and fishing, and being outdoors whenever he could.

Harry is survived by son, Brody Smith and Callie of Comanche, Texas; daughter, Heather Wooten and partner Christopher Rodriguez of Austin, Texas; stepdaughter, Courtney Bates and Gary of Comanche, Texas; granddaughter, Viola Smith; brother, Mike Smith and Debbie of Gainesville, Texas; sister, Cherie Evans and Lynn of Proctor, Texas; stepfather, Barry Clark of Comanche, Texas; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.

Harry is proceeded in death by his parents, Kenneth Smith and Linda Smith Clark; grandparents; William Ory and Ottie Lorene Smith and Shorty and Odessa McDonald.
