It is with a great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved person. Irenea Tampos Pearce, 53 years old, passed away peacefully August 19, 2024 at Western Hills Nursing Home under care of CCS Hospice due to battling of cancer.
Irenea was born August 09, 1971, in General Santos, Philippines. She went to high school and colleges in Cebu, Philippines. She graduated from University of Cebu with a Bachelor of Secretarial Administration. She got married with Herbert Lynn Pearce at Candaguit Sibonga, Cebu, Philippines for 22 years with three wonderful stepchildren until his passing March 2016. They were a cute and humorous couple. She later remarried for one year with two stepsons. She arrived in the US in the year 1994. She recently lived in Comanche, Texas.
She went to school in Texas to study Technical Colleges and graduated with a license in Vocational Nursing. She was working for longer years in the nursing home with her long time DON, Donna Boucher. She had a best friend and co-worker, Jennifer, from the Philippines. She started working as a nurse aide, then medication aide and proceeded to be an LVN. She had an excellent care of all her residents in the nursing home.
She loved and enjoyed fishing with her late husband and brother in law. She is a hardworking, who loved working outside to take care of her goats, cats, sheep, dogs, and chickens. She was very passionate in building fences and gathering her chicken eggs as it made her "feel at home from the Philippines." She also enjoyed taking pictures and cooking. Irenea was a very helpful person and was often good at listening to everyone as she treated them fair. She liked to read religious books as she was very humble with a brilliant mind. Her warm personality with a infectious smile and generous heart made her an instant favorite among all who knew her. She loved and enjoyed being with her stepchildren and the grandkids. Irenea had many special people in her life but a dear friend who was also helpful and supportive was William Crim and Arlene Tiu. Most of all she loved all of her family, cousins, and friends.
She is survived by brother; Romeo Tampos; brother Felix Tampos Jr. and wife Florentina Elle Tampos; sister, Gloria Tampos Costanos and spouse Delfin Costanos; stepchildren, Herbert Lynn Pearce II and spouse Kimberly Pearce, John Pearce, Brad Pearce, Thomas Gutierrez and spouse Lillie Gutierrez, Charles Bollum; sister in law, Alma King and spouse James King; numerous nieces and nephews, Rodel and spouse Janet Costanos, Froilan Tampos, John Lexor Tampos, Ivy Jane Tampos Costanos, Christine Joy Costanos, Salutillo Virginia Tampos, Cynthia Pearce and Debra Roy, and Angie Tampos; cousin, Vicenta Favinger and Tina Maimone; step grandchildren, Amy Pearce, Jordan Pearce, Rebekah Pearce, Carter Irenea Gutierrez, Amanda Grace Gutierrez.
She was preceded in death by her parents Felix Tampos Sr. and Anecita Padillo; late husband, Herbert Lynn Pearce; brother in law, Phillip Andrew Pearce.
A memorial service will be held September 08, 2024 @ 3:00pm at the Hasse Baptist Church (133 County Road 321, Comanche, Tx 76442). We will miss her indefinitely but find comfort that she is now pain free and in a better home.
