GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 1:00 P.M.. Friday, November 21, 2014, at Cottage Hill Cemetery in Hamilton County. VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Thursday night from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. J. D. Dolberry, age 77, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2014, in Comanche, Texas. He was born on February 27, 1937, in Hamilton County, Texas, to Jim Abers and Nelly (Connell) Dolberry. He worked for Gold Kist Co. in Comanche for fifteen years. J.D. was always working. He worked from sunup to sundown, and his favorite hobby was working in his vegetable garden. He is survived by two daughters, Letha G. Thompson of Texas, and Theda F. McDonald of Arlington; and six grandsons, Walter R. Thompson V, Brandon D. Thompson, Cody Hanson, Kerry Hanson, William Leon Horton, Jr., and Christopher Lee Horton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Nelly Dolberry; sister, Theda Beth Smith; and brother, James Dolberry.
