MEMORIAL SERVICE: 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 30, 2013, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Austin Street in Comanche. J. B. Mullinax, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, in Brownwood, Texas. He was born on June 27, 1929, in Cartecay, Georgia, to Arvil and Lillie (Woody) Mullinax. On November 27, 1953, he was united in marriage to Shirley Allen in Barberton, Ohio. He retired from Rockwell International in Barberton after thirty years of service. In 1986 J.B. and Shirley moved to Comanche and J.B. worked as a bank janitor for twenty-seven years. He also started a lawn care service, which he continued to operate until a short time ago. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, J.B. knew that he would rest in the grave until the resurrection after God has brought an end to this system of things as we know it, and restored the earth to Paradise conditions as he originally intend it to be. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Mullinax of Comanche; son, Joe Mullinax of Gulfport, Mississippi; daughters, Barbera Ashley and husband Joe of Bushnell, Florida and Carol Santana and husband Jerry of Oscala, Florida; two grandchildren, Jason Mullinax of Gulfport, Mississippi and Jennifer Laird and Husband Craig also of Gulfport; three great-grandchildren, Keegan Gordon and Onika and Madison Laird; two brothers, Clyde Mullinax of Ellijay, Georgia and James Mullinax of Illinois; and twin sisters, Christine Skello of Atlanta, Georgia and Pauline Mullinax of Ellijay, Georgia. He was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Helen Louise Mullinax and Leanna Marie Mullinax; two sisters, Venta Lee Mulkey and Audrey Cantrell; and two brothers, Claude Mullinax and Jackie Mullinax.
