GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Pecan Wells Cemetery in Mills County, Texas. VISITATION: 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Comanche Funeral Home. LUNCH: Family will have lunch at 11:30 A.M. Wednesday at Comanche Housing Authority Hospitality Room. J. W. Woodard, age 76, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018, in Comanche County, Texas.
He was born on February 1, 1942, in Mills County, Texas, to Wesley and Lola (Roberts) Woodard. On May 13, 1972, he was united in marriage to Betty Schultz in Pottsville, Texas. Jay was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He worked hard and for thirty years he and Betty cleaned Comanche National Bank, while also raising cattle.
