GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche. VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. MEMORIALS: Comanche Public Library, 311 N. Austin, Comanche, Texas 76442; or Comanche County Museum, P.O. Box 22, Comanche, Texas 76442. James V. Biggs, age 77, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2011 at his residence in Comanche County, Texas He was born in Comanche on November 20, 1933, to Charlie and Ruth (Blackmon) Biggs. He was a United States Army veteran. James was a Livestock Inspector for the State of Texas for twenty-seven years and he was a farmer and rancher. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Marilyn Biggs of Comanche; two nephews, Chris Biggs of Comanche and Scott Biggs and wife April of Comanche; niece, Judith Biggs of Fort Worth; nephew, James Biggs of Fort Worth; great-nephew, Ethan Sorley of Fort Worth; and three great-nieces, D’Lin Biggs of Comanche, Lorilie Sorley of Fort Worth and Kayden Biggs of Fort Worth. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gene Biggs in 1985 and Dwight Biggs in 1995.
