FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. BURIAL: Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche. VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Tuesday night from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. LUNCH: Lunch for the family will be at Pearl Street Church of Christ in Comanche following the funeral services. MEMORIALS: If desired memorials may be made to Pearl Street Church of Christ, 500 N. Pearl Street, Comanche, Texas 76442; or Foster's Home for Children, 1779 N. Graham Street, Stephenville, Texas 76401. James Robert Bragg, age 79 passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2014, in Comanche County, Texas. He was born on March 20, 1934, in Sidney, Texas, to Leonard and Ione (McCullough) Bragg. He graduated from Comanche High School in 1950 and on March 19, 1956, he was united in marriage to Regina Adcock in Gustine. For nine years James worked for Texas Electric in Odessa. He was a firefighter for the City of Abilene for twenty-four years and was awarded Firefighter of the Year in 1980. He retired on September 2, 1985. He was an active member Pearl Street Church of Christ in Comanche and was a former member of the College Hill Church of Christ in North Richland Hills. He is survived by his wife, Regina Bragg of Comanche; sons, David Bragg of Stephenville, Weldon Bragg and wife Carla of Comanche, and Jon Bragg of Proctor; brother, Gary Bragg and wife Kay of Goldthwaite; sisters, Linda Bragg of Comanche and Sharon Bragg Clark of De Leon; grandchildren: Jamie Jones and husband John, Jori Bragg, Kayla Parrish and husband Clay, Shauna Apolinar and husband Alex, Chance Bragg, Brandy Powers and husband Nathan, and Jason Bragg and wife Allison; great-grandchildren: Jaylon Jones, Caitlyn Jones, Cason Parrish, Kinslee Parrish, Aubrey Apolinar, Jace Apolinar, Reagan Bragg, Jordan Powers, Jackson Bragg, Kayleigh Bragg, and Jacob Bragg; and several nieces and nephews.
