James Brooks Kerley passed away peacefully on December 2, 2022, in Comanche, Texas.
Brooks was born on December 31, 1927, to James Sidney and Mattie (Brooks) Kerley. He was united in marriage to Norma Godfrey Polvado on July 16, 1960. Brooks served in the Army. He was a lifelong farmer and rancher.
He is survived by his children, Michael Kerley and Linda Lilley and husband, Brian; grandchildren, Candyce Kerley, Jame Kerley and Brittany, Judd Kerley and Ashley, Kim Garner and Garrett, and Rachel Blair and Nathan; and nine great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Norma Godfrey (Polvado) Kerley; son, Richard Polvado; and siblings, Audra Williford, Lucille Marshall, Mandy Hoots, Ruby Blair and twin brother, Thomas Kerley.
