James Davis

July 13, 1925 — December 15, 2010

From 1976 until 1995, he served as a Comanche County Commissioner for Precinct #1. He was also a Baptist, Rancher and served in the U.S. Army. James Wade Davis, 84 of Comanche, Texas, died on Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at Comanche County Medical Center in Comanche, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Hazel (Connally) Davis of Comanche, Texas; daughter, Shiela Henry of Comanche; daughter, Denise Brown of San Antonio; son Michael Davis and wife Shondra of Comanche; brother, Merlin Davis of Comanche; sister, Dorothy Couch of Gustine; five grandchildren, Brandi, Jason, Mariah, Madison, and Mary Katherine; and three Great-Grandchildren. Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. Funeral Services will be 10:30 A.M. on Saturday at the Comanche Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gerald Burns officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche, with Comanche Funeral Home in Charge of Arrangements.
