James Taber

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 10:30 A.M. Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Newburg Cemetery in Comanche County. James Fredrick Taber, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on March 14, 1943, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Minor Fredrick and Mary (Bumpas) Tabor. He was a loving father and grandfather. Jimmy was a self-employed carpenter, meticulous in his work. He liked to hunt and he was an avid fisherman He will be missed by his family and his many friends. He is survived by his son, Russell Taber of Fort Worth; daughter Regina Betancort of Corpus Christi; three grandchildren; brother, Mike Taber and wife Megan of Washington State; and sister, Mary Shannon Autrey and husband Ron of Louisiana.
