Jane Kirk

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 4, 2015, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Comanche County. LUNCH: Family will have lunch at 12:00 Noon on Saturday at First Baptist Church of Comanche. Jane (Kerley) Rex Kirk, age 97, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015, in Comanche, Texas. She was born on November 26, 1917, in Comanche, to W.E. and Dolly (Powell) Kerley. In April, 1938, she married Orville Thomas Rex in Texas. He preceded her in death. She married Duncan Kirk on June 20, 1982, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2009. For over fifty years Jane was a beauty operator at Flair Beauty Shop in Albuquerque. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Jane was a member of First Baptist Church of Comanche. She is survived by son, Jack Rex and wife Sara of Comanche; daughter, Brenda Hatler and husband Larry of White Rock, New Mexico; son, Tom Rex and wife Lynda of Irving; son, Frank E. Rex and wife Leslie of Richardson; step-daughter, Deborah Tarpley of Denver, Colorado; step-son, Sam Kirk and wife Jan of Willow Springs, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; sister, Marcelle Donalson of Comanche; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, W.E. and Dolly Kerley; and seven brothers and sisters.
