Box 992, Comanche, Texas 76442. Jay Cotten, age 78, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene. He was born on May 10, 1937, in Rising Star, Texas, to Willie and Lillie (Beggs) Cotten. On February 19, 1953, he was united in marriage to Mary Jo Donald in Comanche, Texas. Jay was a construction worker. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Cotten of Comanche; one son, Tom Cotten and wife, Jill of Comanche; one daughter, Tamara Kay Cotten of Comanche; four grandchildren: E.J., Ashley, Chance and Colby; seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
