Jean Sledge, age 89, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022 in Comanche, Texas.
Jean was born on September 2, 1932, in Ft. Worth, Texas to Hubert W. Brooks and Charlie May (Jackson). She was a homemaker. Jean was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Terri Reed and husband, Forest Watham, of Comanche, Texas, Vicki Hunt of Mansfield, Texas; grandchildren, Michael Reed, Christopher Reed and Laura Reed of Phoenix, Arizona, Crystal and Jimmy Harris, Kimberly and Michael Williams of Comanche, Texas; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, H.W. and Charlie Mae Brooks; sister Johnette Jennings; husband, Cecil Clowers, Jr.; and Gerald Sledge (whom she married after the death of Cecil).
