FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 19, 2017, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Thursday, May 18, from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. LUNCH: Lunch for the family will be at Pearl Street Church of Christ at 12:00 noon on Friday, May 19. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers please make memorials to Pearl Street Church of Christ, 500 N. Pearl Street, Comanche, Texas 76442; Foster's Home for Children, P.O. Box 978, Stephenville, Texas 76401; or Cherokee Home for Children, P.O. Box 295, Cherokee, Texas 76832. Jerald Wayne Jones, age 79, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017, in Comanche, Texas. He was born on August 22, 1937, in Hopkins County, Texas, to Charlie and Susie (White) Jones. Jerald was a United States Air Force Veteran. On November 3, 1955, he was united in marriage Mickie Kennedy in Eunice, New Mexico. He was a measurement technician and was employed by El Paso Natural Gas Co. until he retired after thirty seven years of service. Jerald was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of Pearl Street Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Mickie Jones of Comanche County, three children: Roxy Brown and husband Scott of Andrews, Michael Jones and wife Sandy of Maurice, Louisiana, and Donna Jeanne Griffith and husband Paul of Aberdeen, Scotland; five grandchildren: Tyler Brown, Spencer Brown, Lauren Gifffith, Rachel Griffith, and Toby Jones; brother, Jimmy C. Jones of Baird; sisters, Linda Thurmond of Midland and Wanda Davis and husband Murl of Wickett; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Susie Jones, and brother, James H. Jones.
