Jesus Calderon, age 69, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2016, in Abilene, Texas. He was born on November 13, 1946, in San Miguel Allende GTO, Mexico, Salvador and Josephina (Tovar) Calderon. On June 18, 1974, he was united in marriage to Lupe Hidrogo in Comanche, Texas. Jesus was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Comanche. He was a dairyman. His hobby was working on lawn mowers. He loved playing cards, even if he had to play by himself. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Lupe Calderon of Comanche; two daughters, Ema Calderon and husband Bobby Garcia of Comanche and Irene Arreola and husband Antonio of Stephenville; son, Bobby Hidrogo of Comanche; brother, Santiago Calderon of Mexico; two sisters, Josefina Calderon of Mexico and Reyes Calderon of Mexico; two granddaughters, Alicia Arreola and Jessica Hidrogo; two grandson, A.J. Arreola and Tyler Salinas; two great-granddaughters; five great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. . He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
