Joann Kathleen Lopez, age 50, of Comanche, Texas, and formerly of Carthage, Missouri, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2010. She was born on January 23, 1960, in Carthage, Missouri to Clarence Witt and Betty Lou Mims. Joann graduated from Webb City High School in Missouri. On April 3, 1981, she was united in marriage to Matias Lopez in Warrenburg, Missouri. She was a retired veteran of the United States Air Force and later worked as a Medical Technician at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Joann was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Matias Lopez, Jr. of Comanche; three daughters, Nicole and husband Joey Rivera of Comanche, Rebecca Lopez and Tyler Thompson of Stephenville, and Jennifer and husband Danny Lopez, Jr. of Comanche; five grandchildren, Joseph Rivera, Autumn Ortiz, Gabriella Rivera, Regan Rivera, and Danny Lopez III; four brothers and four sisters, David Witt of Carthage Missouri, Richard Witt and wife, Patty of Carthage, Missouri, Susan Witt-Thomas of Purdy, Missouri, Saundra Welsh and husband Mike of Colorado, Doug Witt and wife Debbie of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Edith Stratton and husband Richard of Oronogo, Missouri, Wayne Witt and wife Ann of Carthage, Missouri, Buffy Boswell of Carthage, Missouri; and stepmother, Harriett Witt of Carthage, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Witt and Betty Lou Mims.
