Houston Comanche, Tx 76442 Joe Tommie Gore, age 85, passed away on November 1, 2014 in Comanche, Texas.   He was born on March 12, 1929, in Comanche County, Texas, to Bailey and “Irie” (Turner) Gore.  He was a self employed agricultural businessman.  On June 30, 1948, he was united in marriage to Peggy Jean Cotney in Comanche County.  Joe was a member of First Baptist Church of Comanche.  For thirty-nine years he served as a Director for Comanche National Bank and was a Director for AMPI for twenty years. He and his brother, Bill, were the founders of Gore Brothers. He also served as President of Gore’s Inc. He enjoyed his work.     He is survived by his wife, Peggy (Cotney) Gore of Comanche; daughters, Vickie Harvick and husband Kenneth of Comanche, and Nena Carroll of Comanche; five grandchildren: Cindy Williams and husband Willie of Tyler, Kerry Kersh and husband David of Comanche, Stacy Dudley and husband Neil of Comanche, Bryan Carroll and wife Melody of Midland, and  Aaron Carroll and wife Amy of Comanche; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sisters, Bettie Beene and husband David of San Antonio and Sue Arthur and husband Bobby of Comanche; sister-in-law, Myrna Nell Gore of Comanche; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Bailey and Irie (Turner) Gore; infant son, Joe Wayne Gore; and brother, Billie Wayne Gore.   He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He always had a friendly smile for everyone and made the most of life.
