Johnie Robinson

Johnie W. Robinson, age 56, Comanche, Texas passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021.

Johnie was born on August 9, 1964. Johnie is survived by his mother, Bernardine Robinson; his children, Maleah Gunter and Mason Ballard; their spouses, Cody Gunter and KeSha Ballard; his grandchildren, Blanton Gunter, Kelci Gunter, and Cooper Ballard; his siblings, Lee Weckler, Debbi Lee, Jeff Lee, Lori Jones, and Tricia Reynolds; and his best friend of 42 years, Royce Brandstetter. Johnie was preceded in death by his parents, Johnie Robinson, Jr. and Janie Clift; his wife, Vanda Robinson; sibling Pat Lee.

Johnie was born and raised in San Angelo, Texas, where he graduated from Lake View High School and then joined the Army. He moved to Comanche in the 1990s where he later met and married the love of his life, Vanda Robinson. He began his medical career as a respiratory therapist and then went on to become a nurse. He was currently working at Comanche County Medical Center as an RN. One of Johnie’s best qualities was that he never met a stranger. He enjoyed his family and friends tremendously. Like branches on a tree, we all grow in different directions, but our roots remain as one.
