Johnny Mccarty

MEMORIAL SERVICE:  A memorial service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at Comanche Funeral Home chapel. Johnny Michael McCarty, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, in Comanche County, Texas.  He was born on August 20, 1946, in Hamilton, Texas, to Fred D. and Venita (Stockham) McCarty.  On October 16, 1971, he was united in marriage to Rita Reinert in Granbury.  He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.  For many years Johnny was CEO of Quality Metal Roofing. Johnny was an avid reader, gardener, and golfer.  He loved teaching his eight grandchildren valuable life lessons.  Most importantly, Johnny was a hard worker who put others before himself. He is survived by his wife, Rita McCarty of Hazeldell; three daughters, Jennifer Kent and husband, Douglas, of Hazeldell, Sarah Pepper of Hazeldell, and Amy Littleton and husband, Jody, of Kennedale; eight grandchildren:  Morgan Kent, Maddox Kent, Madison Pepper, R.J. Pepper, Ashlyn Pepper, Westin Pepper, Ava Littleton, and Arik Littleton; and siblings, Linda Gray, Micki Crews, and Fred McCarty.
