Jonathan Alejandro Escamilla, age 20, was the son of Jose Manuel Escamilla and Alma Rosa Escamilla (Garcia) and a brother to Luis Angel Escamilla and Jose Manuel Jr. Escamilla. He is also survived by his grandparents, Rutila and Nicolas Escamilla and Martina Hortelano; uncles and aunts, Juan Martin and Josefina Escamilla and family, Jose Luis and Claudia Escamilla and family, Angel Nicolas and Ines Escamilla and family, Maria Guadalupe Escamilla, Roberto Garcia and family, Ruben Garcia and family, Oliverio Garcia and family, Germain Garcia and family, Estela Garcia and family, Esmeralda Garcia and family, Armando Garcia and family; and numerous cousins. He graduated in the year 2016 from Gustine High School. During his high school career, he played basketball, football, participated in track and played tennis. He was part of the Upward Bound Program at Tarleton State University. After graduation, he attended Ranger College in Stephenville, Texas. There he was working on his basics and later would transfer to a Physical Therapy School. He wanted to pursue Physical Therapy due to his injury in high school and not being able to afford physical therapy for his arm. So, he vowed to not let anybody go without physical therapy due to low economic resources. While attending school, he worked a part time job at the Shopko Hometown store in Comanche. Jonathan Alejandro Escamilla had no limits; he reached for the sky; nothing and no one could stop him from reaching his goals. He had a great smile that was so contagious. If you were in a bad mood, he would do anything to put a smile on your face. Jonathan was a kind hearted person. Everyone he met had a great memory with him. He was never afraid to speak his mind when he wanted to. He was one in a million people that you would have enjoyed being around. He was a very loveable human being. Special "Thank You" to friends and the Gustine community for all the support and help offered to the family and especially to Frank Brand and family for the help with funeral arrangements.
