FUNERAL SERVICES: 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 12, 2012, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. BURIAL: Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche. VISITATION: 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday evening at the funeral home. LUNCH: Family will have lunch at 202 E. Fleming, Comanche, following the funeral services. Josefa “Josie” Tamez, age 81, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2012, in Temple, Texas. She was born on April 1, 1931, in San Angelo to Jose and Geneva (Girego) Ramirez. She was united in marriage to Daniel Tamez in San Angelo. He preceded her in death. For many years Mrs. Tamez worked for Girling Home Health in Stephenville. She was a Baptist She is survived by two daughters, Santos Hernandez of Thrall, Texas, and Elucteria Herrera of Comanche, Texas; thirteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Juanita Gaitan of Big Lake, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Virginia Samaniego.
