Joshua “Josh” Dean McDearmon, 35, of Gustine, Texas, left this place for his heavenly home on Saturday, December 23, 2017. He was born on September 24, 1982, at Seton Hospital in Austin, Texas. Joshua was baptized at First Baptist Church of Gustine on his birthday in 1995. From the time he was sixteen years old, he has worked in the restaurant business, from server to cook, to co-owner. He loved his work and enjoyed meeting and serving people. Joshua’s greatest love was for his children, Chloe and Beau. He was a devoted father and a loving son and would do everything he possibly could for his family. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. He is survived by one daughter, Chloe Annabella McDearmon, 7, and one son, Beau Alexander McDearmon, 5, of Copperas Cove; his mom, Pamela Thompson Tatum and dad, Monte D. Tatum, of Gustine; his father and step-mother, Roy Del and Belia McDearmon of Austin; half-brother, Kelly Ross McDearmon of Temple; aunts and uncles: James and Pat Jennings, of Austin, Debbie Cope of Whitesboro, Brenda Thompson of Virginia, James and Shirley Thompson of Cisco, Mark and Shannon Thompson of Early, Paul and Cindy Thompson of Highland, Illinois, Doyce and Lil Nelson of Zephyr and Nell Way of Stephenville; and numerous other relatives, including cousins and many friends and acquaintances. He was preceded in death by his half-brother, Quentin McDearmon, grandparents, J. R. and Geneva Thompson, Horace McDearmon and Gene McDearmon Pettit; uncle, Ted Andrew Thompson, and aunt, Billie McNutt.
