Juanita Nevarez

On Friday, September 15, 2023, Juanita Ramos Nevarez, loving daughter, aunt, sister, cousin, godmother, and mother of 3 children, Juan Manuel Cisneros, Victor Cisneros, and Jacqueline Cisneros; and grandma of 7 grandchildren, passed away at the age of 71. She was born August 20, 1952, in Laredo, Texas to Consuelo Aguirre and Patricio Ramos.

She married Jose (Carlos) Nevarez. Juanita worked as a housekeeper and was a cook at Rosa's Café in her younger years. In 2000, she became a full-time babysitter until she became very ill in 2022 and was no longer able to take care of kids. She took care of numerous kids who she loved and adored and cared for like her own children. She was the most selfless person you could have known. Every kid she watched called her Ma and preferred to be and stay with her. That showed a lot of just how she was. She will be deeply missed by all her loved ones.

She is survived by her mother, Consuelo Aguirre; brother, Alejandro Ramos (Mariaelena); sister, Margaret Constancia (Mario); brother, Willie Mello (Joyce); sister, Virginia Saldivar (Ruben); sister, Anna Jackson (Paul); brother, Hector Ramos (Carmen); and sister, Sandy Perez (Andy).

She was preceded in death by her father, Patricio Ramos; sister, Yolanda Rubio; brother, Ramon Ramos; and brother, David Ramos.
