On June 21, 2023, Julia “Judy” Ruth Livingston passed away peacefully at home. Luke 23:43 “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise."
Judy was born on February 27, 1937, to Wesley and Daisey Holcomb in Rule, Texas. She married her soul mate, Lonnie Alvah Livingston, Jr. in Gustine, Texas. He preceded her death on May 15, 2002.
Together, they grew and built their family and business. She owned Livingston Florist for 62 years. She catered to many generations throughout her lifetime. She was blessed to be a part of each family she served, whether it was a baby shower, wedding, anniversary, birthday, etc. She was deeply rooted in her faith who shared God’s love with others. Judy was an inspiration to all who knew her and was loved and admired by many. The impact of Judy’s life will be felt for years to come. She was an example of a woman driven by her purpose and faith in God. She had a heart of gold and would never hesitate to give her last to someone in need.
She is survived by her three daughters, Malinda Huey and husband, Ken, Donna Gay Roming and husband, John, Miriam “Mindy” Mejia and husband, Luis; eight grandchildren, Kaylane Tyson, Christy Foster and husband, Steven, Jamie Cronk and husband, Brian, Sebastian Mejia, Sylvana Mejia, Alan Mejia, Mason Ballard and wife, Kesha, Maleah Gunter and husband, Cody; seven great-grandchildren, Ryan Foster, MacKenzie Foster, Blanton Gunter, Kelcie Gunter, Brison Cronk, Cooper Ballard, Hudson Ballard; brother, Gerald Holcomb; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Daisey Holcomb; daughter, Vanda Zay Robinson; and sister, Ruby Clark.
