Julie Lynnene Crim was born to parents, William and Lynn McDaniel Crim on December 16, 1980, in Brownwood, Texas. She passed away at her home on Friday, February 2, 2024. After an early childhood diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes, she lived 43 years courageously and very successfully.
Julie grew up on the family farm in May, Texas community. She excelled both academically and athletically at May ISD. In addition to twirling and UIL competitions, she was an excellent basketball player where she put to use her near six-foot height in the post position. She was a lifelong avid reader of good books as well as the classics and had learned to read before she went to school. She graduated as valedictorian and attended her beloved A&M University where she graduated with amazing computer and writing skills. She put these skills to good use as a longtime employee at The Comanche Chief newspaper and Kirbo’s of Brownwood, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lynn Crim and her grandparents, William and Hilda Crim and Russell and Florence McDaniel, and two uncles Richard Crim and Johnny Crim; as well as her dear cat, Vicious.
She is survived by her Uncle Fain McDaniel, her Uncle Larry Crim and Aunt Elaine, her Aunt Ann Crim, and Aunt Zanetta Crim. She also leaves behind her cousins, Ricky Crim, Patsy Burkeen, Kevin Crim, Karla Colcleasure, Kenny Crim and William Crim, as well as her special friends, Erin Dudley, Katie Barnes and Larry Bates. She is going to be sorely missed by her friends and family.
