Karl Kirkland

Karl Everston Kirkland, age 71, passed away August 04, 2024 in Comanche, Texas.

Karl was born December 13, 1952 in Comanche, Texas to Venoy Kirkland and Julia Myrle Shoemaker. In his younger years, Karl was a great baseball player and later in life would transition into playing men's softball. He loved to dance, maintain his yards, and even hunting. He was an early bird who would wake up as early as 5am and would even do maintance work on his yard such as weedeating, however, you wouldn't dare wake him up past his bedtime at 7pm. A memory Mary Ann had of Karl was when they were kids out at Mercer's Gap, they would ride the school bus every morning to school, Karl had different priorities as he would go to check his hunting traps before he got on the school bus, but was never late to school.

He is survived by his son, Randy Kirkland; daughter, Crystal West; sister, Sarah Lou Jeffcoat; sister, Mary Ann Braim; brother, Marion Kirkland; grandson, Brady and Trenton Kirkland; great grandson, Sorren Kirkland; & numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Venoy Kirkland and Julia Myrle Shoemaker; & numerous neices, nephews, aunts and uncles.
