She was born in Mitchell County, Texas on October 4, 1928, to Bill Ward and Kate (Doss) Ward. She was a barber. She is survived by her two daughters, Patsy Robinson, of Snyder, TX; Bernadine Hines of Hodges, OK; three sons Alvie Lee Stephens of Colorado City, TX; Eddie Earl Stephens, of Colorado City, TX; and Douglas Ward Stephens of Colorado City, TX; and ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
