Kathrine “Vicky” Smith, age 92, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2011, in San Angelo, Texas. She was born on December 15, 1918, in Comanche to Robert and Minnie (Williams Ripley. On March 7, 1936, she was united in marriage to Claude Aubrey Smith in Comanche. He preceded her in death on March 6, 2006. For fifteen years she owned and operated Vicky's Beauty Shop in San Angelo. In 1966 she retired from Hemphill Wells, where she was employed as a sales person. Vicky was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in San Angelo. She is survived by her son, Bobby Smith of San Angelo; daughter-in-law, Amalie Smith of Anna; four grandchildren, Dwayne Smith, Ken Smith, Tabitha Dahlberg, and Sabrina Lofton; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Genetha George of Comanche; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Aubrey Dwayne Smith and several brothers and sisters.
