Kenneth “Bootie” Hohertz, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, in Comanche County, Texas.
He was born on March 30, 1944, in Grand Prairie, Texas, to Arthur August and Frieda Wilhelmina (Tieman) Hohertz. Kenneth was a farmer, rancher, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his children, Wayland Hohertz and wife Jo Ann of Newburg, Deanna Hisaw of Odessa, Mark Doremus of Brownwood, Steve Butler of Brookesmith, and Shaun Hohertz of Priddy; grandchildren, Thomas, Crystal, Casandra, Netticia, Ethan, Brandon, Chad, Jaycee, Kayla, Jaron, and Mitchell; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Hohertz and Dixie Crouch; sister, Ester Pearl Hennig and husband Calvert; brother-in-law, Jack Tarter; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Frieda Hohertz; sister, Melbadean Tarter, brother, Lee Roy Hohertz; sister-in-law, Virginia Hargrove, and second wife, Nettie Hohertz.
