Hagood, 91 of Comanche, TX, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, August 20, 2011. He was loved as a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. He was born June 23, 1920, in Gorman, Texas, to William Frank Hagood and Nannie Elizabeth Underwood Hagood. He married the love of his life, Elsie Mae Bailey on November 11, 1939. He lived in Comanche County area for most of his life and started his working career with Arthur Chevrolet Company, working for Mr. Euell Arthur for 33 years. He also worked for Comanche LP Gas and Central Texas Energy, delivering propane to the local community. He retired at the age of 65 and spent the remainder of his time working in his backyard shop. He was very creative with his hands and could usually build or repair anything. He was a faithful member of the East Side Baptist Church. L.T. and Elsie Mae loved to attend singings and he usually recorded each service. Mr. Hagood is survived by four loving children, son, Kenneth Hagood and wife, Kay of Comanche, Texas; son, Glen Hagood of Jarrell, Texas; daughter, Wanda Thompson and husband Bobby of Burleson, Texas; and daughter Marilyn Hart and husband, Ed of Clyde, Texas. Grandchildren, Susan Tolar and husband, Michael of Burleson, Texas, Brent Hagood and wife, Leann of Comanche, Texas; Nicholas Hagood and wife Stacy, of Brownwood, Texas; Will Hagood and wife, Lisa of Holland, Texas; Tyler Barnes and wife, Savanna of Brownwood, Texas and Cameron Barnes of Clyde, Texas. Great grandchildren, Madison and Austin Hagood of Comanche, Texas; Garrett and Grace Tolar of Burleson, Texas; Jonathan and Luke Thomas Hagood of Brownwood, Texas; and William Hagood of Holland, Texas. One brother, Howard Hagood and wife, Pat of Gorman, Texas; and one sister, Billie Marble of Gorman, Texas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Nannie Hagood, his wife Elsie Mae Hagood, and one sister, Mary Charles Featherhoff. The funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 24th at 2:00 P.M. at the Comanche Funeral Home Chapel, Comanche, Texas followed by internment at Oakland Cemetery, Gorman, Texas. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Comanche Funeral Home.
