VISITATION: 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Comanche Funeral Home. A Memorial Service has not been scheduled at this time. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 783, Comanche, Texas 76442. Larry Taylor McKnight, age 70, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018, in Stephenville, Texas. He was born on February 6, 1947, in Bonham, Texas, to William Dale and Nora (Boyles) McKnight. On August 30, 2011, he was united in marriage to Shirley Johnson in Ruidoso, New Mexico. Larry was a loving husband, brother, and a friend who could be counted upon. He loved the outdoors and was passionate about farming and ranching. He was an avid hunter, arrowhead collector and, in his “spare” time enjoyed hiking. Larry was President of the Antique Tractor Club, volunteered at the Salvation Army, and was a member of the Comanche Kiwanis Club. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Johnson of Comanche; sister Betty McKnight of Pampa, nephews, Joel McKnight and wife Kim of Houston, Dean McKnight and wife Sherri of Austin, and Kevin McKnight and wife Stephanie of Amarillo; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; stepdaughters, Tammy Chambers and husband Randall of Corinth and Tina Marken and husband Dennis of Comanche; stepson, Allen Webb and wife Terri of Lake Dallas; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Dale and Nora McKnight, and brother, David McKnight.
