GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 29, 2016, at Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche. VISITATION: Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 28, from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Lelia Belle McNutt, age 87, of Comanche, Texas, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016, at Western Hills Healthcare Residence in Comanche. She was born on June 4, 1928, in Kemp, Texas, to Floyd Luther and Anna Belle (Martin) Clopp. On September 6, 1946, she was united in marriage to Winston E. McNutt, in Dallas, Texas, and together they raised four sons. Lelia served as vice-president, bookkeeper and purchasing agent for McNutt Enterprises. In 1990 she supervised the construction of her new home in Comanche County and retired there with her husband, Winston. She became active in the First Baptist Church of Comanche as well as Comanche Cares and The Young Republicans. Being chosen as chairperson for the Young Republicans she was invited to the inauguration of President George H.W. Bush in Washington, DC. She is survived by two sons, Bruce McNutt and Kevin McNutt; four grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Lelia was preceded in death by her husband, Winston Evan McNutt; two sons, Rex Reginald McNutt and David Winston McNutt: and one grandson, Jordan Rex McNutt.
