FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. BURIAL: Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche. ROSARY: 6:00 P.M. Tuesday night at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. VISITATION: 6:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday night at the funeral home. Leon R. Banda, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2014, in Hamilton, Texas. He was born on April 11, 1934, in Gonzales, Texas, to Marcello and Maria (Rodriguez) Banda. On October 24, 1954, he was united in marriage to Francisca Amaro in Crosbyton, Texas. She preceded him in death on January 9, 2013. Leon was a construction worker. He was a member of the Catholic Church. He is survived by four sons, Jose Banda and Suzanne of Hamilton, David Banda of Hamilton, Leo Banda and wife Kim of Hamilton, and Carlos Ramirez of Hamilton; five daughters, Amelia Garcia and husband Eutimio of Comanche, Yolanda Lopez and husband Tony of Fort Worth, Lydia Massingill of Hamilton, Melissa Ramirez of Fort Hood, and Priscilla Fikes and husband Russell of Hamilton; twenty-four grandchildren; forty-four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Julia Lopez of Snyder and Maria Banda of Salem, Oregon.
