MEMORIALS: If desired, family requests memorials be made to American Cancer Society, c/o Betty Rackley, 500 Highway 590, Comanche, Texas 76442 Lewis Weldon Kuykendall, 90 of Temple, Texas, died on Thursday March 24, 2016, at Cornerstone Gardens in Temple, Texas He was born on October 10, 1925, in Ringgold, Texas, to J.W. and Lola M. (Whorton) Kuykendall. He was united in marriage to Mattie Faye McAlister in Garza County. He was an insurance salesman with Farm Bureau and Germania Insurance. He is survived by his daughter, Vickey and husband James Cavitt of Marlin; grandson, Wade and wife Brenda Kuykendall of Lubbock; granddaughter, Kathy Kuykendall of Lubbock; grandson, Kyle and wife Kim Cavitt of Levelland; great-grandson, Zachary Kuykendall of Lubbock; great-granddaughter, Kira Kuykendall of Lubbock; one great great-granddaughter Riley Kuykendall and various nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his wife, Mattie Faye McAlister; son, Kenny Lewis Kuykendall; brother, Jack Kuykendall; two sisters, Belle Carroll of Comanche and Virgie Mae Emert of Slaton; and parents, J.W. and Lola M. (Whorton) Kuykendall.
