Linda Blackmon

GRAVESIDE SERVICE:  2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 25, 2019, at Albin Cemetery in Comanche County. VISITATION:  Visitation for Linda will be at Comanche Funeral Home on Friday, May 24, 2019, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. All who knew Linda are most welcome to come and participate in celebrating her life.  MEMORIALS:  If desired, memorials may be made to a charity of choice. Linda L. Blackmon of Comanche, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Abilene Regional Medical Center in the presence of her loving family.  Linda was a loving mother of two daughters Krista Cahill of Burke, Virginia, and Mikki Clark of Abilene, Texas.  Linda was a graduate of Howard Payne University and a former teacher of Special Education. On May 2, 1979, she was united in marriage to Dwayne Blackmon in Brownwood, Texas.  She was lovingly known by her grandchildren Morgan and Erin Cahill and Camri Clark as “Mammy”.  She was a loving and caring grandmother and will be missed dearly by her grandchildren.  Linda is survived by three grandchildren; parents, Janice and Dale Holmsley of Comanche; sister, Peggy Montgomery of Goliad; and brother, Rickey Holmsley of Comanche. She was preceded in death by her husband Dwayne Blackmon, formerly of Zephyr, and her grandson, Kaden Clark.
