Linda Kay Ellington was born in Comanche, Tx, on October 19, 1948 to Father, Charlie Ellington and mother, Maxine Jones Ellington. She passed away in Comanche, Tx on February 19, 2025 peacefully at home surrounded by family.
Linda attended Tarleton State University where she received her LVN certification, becoming a nurse for over 50 years. she was loved greatly by every patient, doctor and nurse she ever worked with. In her free time you would catch her surrounded by family and if she had her way she was either fishing or on her pontoon as often as possible. Linda enjoyed a simple life sitting on her recliner listening to Elvis Presley for hours on end.
She is survived by sister, Charlene Goode, of Comanche Tx; brother, Bobby Gilmore and wife, Irene Gilmore, of Abilene, Tx; nephews, Charles Goode and Roy Goode of Comanche, Tx; Bobby Wayne Gilmore and wife, Betina Gilmore, of Abilene, Tx; niece, Carolann Gilmore of Abilene, Tx.; great nephews whom she was like a grandmother to, Seth Goode-Gutierrez and wife, Sabrina Gutierrez along with their three daughters Leilani, Violet and Ivy Gutierrez of Temple, Tx; Judah Goode of Temple, Tx and Brandon Moreno of Priddy, Tx.; great nieces, Angelina Landeros and husband Elijah Landeros of Rogers, Tx; Trinity Goode of Temple, Tx; Kye Tomlinson-Goode of Comanche, tx; and Charlotte Goode of Hewitt, Tx.; along with several other great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents, Charlie Ellington and Maxine Jones Ellington.
