Lloyd Williams

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October, 2010, at East Side Baptist Church LUNCH: 12:00 Noon on Saturday at the family home, 202N. Ervin, Comanche. Lloyd M. Williams, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at Comanche County Medical Center in Comanche County, Texas. He was born on February 12, 1936, in Thackersville, Oklahoma, to Homer W. and Sarah Rebecca (Miller) Williams. On March 29, 1960, he was united in marriage to Sandra Hicks in Proctor, Texas. Lloyd was a self-employed contractor in construction for ten years, and for forty-seven years drove a truck for AMPI in Comanche until he retired in 1987. For the last twenty years he served as pastor of the Congregational Methodist Church in Gorman. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Williams of Comanche; daughters, Pam Craig of Oklahoma, Penny Williams of Comanche, and Barbara Mast of Comanche; sons, Gail Williams of Comanche, and Benny Williams of Lewisville; grandsons, Codie Selbey of Turkey, Texas, and Jase Mast of Comanche; brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Joy Williams of Eastland; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Brian Dale Williams, parents, Homer and Sarah Williams; three brothers and two sisters.
