Lola Rose "June" Coyle

Lola Rose “June” Coyle, age 83, passed away April 12, 2023 in Brownwood, Texas.

June was born on February 3, 1940, in Comanche, TX to Vollie Clark Brawley and Lola Rose Steele Brawley. She was the youngest of four children. The family lived in several different cities growing up. In 7th and 8th grade, she played basketball in Barnhart, TX and moved back to Comanche in 1955 where she played high school basketball. June lived most of her life in Comanche.

June was a member of Full Gospel Church. She enjoyed singing in church and helped as a lead singer. She loved antiques and enjoyed buying old furniture to repair and restore. She loved painting and staining furniture that Earnest built. She owned and operated several antique stores throughout her lifetime. She dearly loved to decorate and rearrange antiques, glassware, or anything old.

June met and married her husband of 48 years, Earnest Coyle, in 1969. They were married in Seminole, TX. She was never able to have children, so little Pixie was a very special friend for many years.

June was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Coyle; parents, Vollie and Lola Brawley; brother, Floyd Brawley and sister-n-law, (Fredonia Lou Brawley); and sister, Octa “Lue” Posey, and husband, (Toby Posey); brother-in-law, (Adrian Haire); nephews, Dale Brawley and Ronnie Brawley; nieces, infant Ruby Pearl Brawley, Suzie Cummings, and infant Adria Haire.

June is survived by one sister, Billie “Jo” Haire; and nephews, Terry Brawley, David Brawley, Archie Posey, and Aaron Haire; nieces, Brendia Cuevas and Lisa Elliott as well as numerous great and great-great nephews and nieces.

Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 10:00 – 10:45AM.

Graveside Services will be at 11:00 A.M on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Steven Schulte officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Condolences may be offered online at www.comanchefh.com.
