Lorett Godfrey

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche. VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, until time for the graveside service. Lorett Godfrey, age 96, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2015, in Comanche, Texas. He was born on October 28, 1918, in Pilot Point, Texas, to Walter and Sadie (Swindall) Godfrey. On March 14, 1942, he was united in marriage to Mattie Doris Hammond in Comanche. She preceded him in death on December 20, 1988. Lorett was a World War II veteran, serving in the United States Army. He was a carpenter. He is survived by his son, Jim Godfrey and wife Pam of Virginia; grandchildren, Nikki Godfrey of Santa Rosa, Colorado, and Jill Carson of Australia; great-grandchild, Luke Carson; and sister, Annie May Elliott of Odessa.
