Loretta Steele Godfrey

Loretta Joyce Steele Godfrey passed from this Earth on June 14, 2022, after a sudden illness. She was born on January 21, 1950, to Clyde and Betty (Sutton) Steele in Comanche County.

Loretta attended school in Comanche and Gustine and was involved in sports. She was very independent and ambitious. She pursued a Nursing degree at Howard Payne and enjoyed a long career as a LVN. Loretta's true passion was her family. She also enjoyed dancing, fishing, and golfing.

She is survived by her husband, Norman Godfrey of Blanket; daughter, Dustie Wiser, N.P and husband, Neal.; two stepdaughters, Angie Godfrey and Darla Wilhite and spouse; grandchildren, Cameron and Aaron Wiser; step-grandchildren, Hayden, Hudson, Heath, Hadley, and Hazes Godfrey; Bo Sharp and spouse, Courtney Evan and spouse, Jada Smart and spouse; brother, Tracy Steele; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Betty (Sutton) Steele; two brothers, Richard and Ronnie Steele; two sisters, Nancy Gray and Linda Cooper; stepson, Shawn Godfrey; and nephew Rickey Steele.
