Lucile Steele, long time resident of Comanche County passed away December 21, 2013 at the age of 92 years, 7 Months and 22 Days. Lucile, known affectionately as “Granny Grunt” lived life to the fullest, enjoying family and friends. She cherished the time spent with her Children, Grandchildren and Great- Grandchildren as well as all that passed through Sidney School where she was employed 27 years. She was born in Palo Pinto, Texas, April 28, 1921, daughter of John Shelby and Mattie Mae (Williams) Livingston. Lucile graduated from Iraan High School and attended Business School in Abilene, Texas. Lucile married Grady Steele October 18, 1964 in Brownwood Texas. She was a member of Sidney Baptist Church, Retired Teacher Association and Sipe Springs Chapter of Eastern Star. Lucile was preceded in death by Spouse, Grady Alvie Steele; Parents, John Shelby and Mattie Mae Livingston; Brothers, Ira Elbert Livingston, John Shelby Livingston, Jr. and Roy Livingston. She is survived by her Children: Sons and Daughters In Law: John & Marsha Gunderson of Artesia, New Mexico; Gene and Nancy Gunderson of Hobbs, New Mexico; Tom and Romayne Lewis of Bellville, Texas; Daughters and Sons In Law: Mary and Bill Scott of Caldwell, Texas and Betty and Jimmy Martin of Comanche, Texas. Lucile is survived by l4 Grandchildren, 18 Great- Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild. Family will receive friends Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 23, 2013, at the Comanche Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Keg Gibson and Bro. Robby Stuteville officiating. Burial will be at Taylors Chapel Cemetery in Comanche County, Texas. Comanche Funeral Home is in Charge of Arrangements. Lunch for the Family will be at Sidney Baptist church following the services. Memorials may be made to Sidney Baptist Church or Taylors Chapel Cemetery
