Lula Mae (Drennan) Reed, age 95 years, 10 months and 10 days, of Sidney, Texas, died Monday, April 23, 2007 at Western Hills Healthcare Residence in Comanche, Texas. She was born on June 13, 1911 in Comanche County, Texas to Charley E. Drennan and Laura Bell (Gray) Drennan. She was a Christian, and for most of her life she attended the Baptist Church in Sidney, Texas. Mrs. Reed was a wonderful wife, mother, and homemaker. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Travis and Bobbie Reed of Odessa, Texas, Clinton and Linda Reed of Lake Brownwood, Texas, Grady and Billie Reed of Sidney, Texas, and Mansel and Carolyn Reed of Sidney, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Pearl and John Swofford of Monument, Colorado, and Christine and Bud Steed of De Leon, Texas; fifteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren; sister, Aletha Tisdale of Little Rock, Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Reed on December 31, 2002, and son, Cecil Reed, on June 17, 1994. Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jackie Auvenshine officiating and Rev. Bobby Davis Assisting. Burial will be in Cox Cemetery in Comanche County, Texas with Comanche Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cox Cemetery, %David Steele, 600 County Road 165, Sidney, Texas 76474. Lunch will be at Sidney Baptist Church at 11:30 A.M. Wednesday.
