Thursday at the funeral home. LUNCH: Family will have lunch at Hope Masonic Lodge #481 on N. Austin Street in Comanche, following the funeral services. Green, age 87, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013, in Comanche County, Texas. He was born on August 28, 1926, in Glen Rose, Texas, to Moody and Ella (Rhodes) Green. He was a United States Navy veteran, serving in World War II. On May 28, 1955, he was united in marriage to Wanda Ruth Dewbre in Early, Texas. For three years M. L. was Junior High Principal for Wilson I.S.D. in Wilson, Texas. He taught for six months at a Baptist college in Colgate, Oklahoma. For over eight years he worked for S. & S. Consolidated I. S. D., first as a teacher at the Southmayd Campus in Southmayd, Texas, then as Elementary and Junior High Principal, and later was Superintendent at the Sadler Campus in Sadler, Texas. He moved to Comanche and worked as D.E. Teacher for Special Education for three years and was Junior High Principal in Comanche for fifteen years until he retired in May, 1986. M. L. was a member of Hope Lodge #481 in Comanche - York Rite for sixty years, Scottish Rite for twenty years, and Order of Eastern Star Comanche #310 for sixty years. He was a farmer and rancher and was a member of South Leon Baptist Church in Newburg. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Green of Comanche; three sons, Edwin Dock Green and wife Charlotte of Comanche, Malcom Green and wife Debra of Fort Worth, and Cory Green and wife Donna of Pflugerville; twelve grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Moody Green and parents, Ed and Ella Sartor, and brother, Leonard Green.
